Battaglia Inc. has master planned Lotte World, a mixed-use project costing 1-Billion-Dollars that includes a 533-room five-star hotel, 1,000,000-square-foot (304,800 square meter) department store, a 350,000-square-foot (106,680 square meter) shopping mall featuring 350-shops and facilities, and an entertainment complex featuring a live stage performance theatre, various film theatres, a variety of restaurants and fast food facilities with a 200' x 100' (61m x 30.5m) ice rink located in the center of the indoor park. Overhead is a 150-Million-Dollar international theme park called Lotte World Adventure, which opened July 12, 1989, and features unique rides and attractions, shops, restaurants and guest facilities to help meet the entertainment needs in Seoul, Korea. This international concept is housed in a multi-floor complex totaling 20-acres (8.1 hectares).
